Relatives of a minor who received life-threatening wounds after getting pushed from the top floor of London's Tate Modern have announced their "courageous fighter" has reached his objective of managing to swim, run, and jump anew.

The young boy was aged six when he was thrown from a ledge by a teenager, previously seventeen.

He, who was traveling with his family in 2019 when targeted, endured a 98-foot drop but received permanent injuries, including a brain hemorrhage and shattered bones.

His family said in an news on a crowdfunding platform, they were delighted that he had been able to progress with his running, jumping and swimming before his upcoming surgery.

"He is unable to perform similar to other children of his age, of course, but we cannot describe what he does in another manner than by terming it's running, jumping, and swimming."

"It's different, merely across a few meters or a very small height, but it's an amazing success."

The child, who passed a long time in intensive care, has persisted to build cognitive endurance.

Relatives stated although his recall abilities were yet highly constrained, they were functional and advancing, so he was "developing a general knowledge at his own pace, which increasingly enables him to be involved with kids."

'Goal Achieved'

They added: "He's also growing up, and because of his therapy with the movement specialist, he now allows himself to rest."

"Before, to make up for his limitation on the left side, he kept his right side continuously stiff, which gave him discomfort."

"Today, our youngster (we have to face the facts, he's no longer a child any longer) has realized that he has to give himself pauses; we must remind him not as much."

After a legal proceeding at the Old Bailey, the adolescent was found guilty of attempted murder and was incarcerated in 2020 for a minimum of a decade and a half.
