Joshua Reaffirms on Inflammatory ‘Kill’ Statements Aimed at Paul
Anthony Joshua doubled down on his controversial comments about being prepared to “kill” Jake Paul during a news conference in Miami on Wednesday.
These statements were originally stated on Tuesday when Joshua was questioned if he would show restraint against the social media star, replying that “if I can kill you, I'll kill”.
The upcoming bout against the internet personality turned fighter has drawn debate over the risk involved and the physical disparity between the two athletes.
Fury Calls Joshua a “Disgrace”
Ex- world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury called Joshua a “classless loser” for his extreme language.
But the 36-year-old fighter, explained his stance: “This is what I do, we fight. We have a licence to kill.
“I understand many people don't grasp it but this is what my job is. I take pleasure in what I do. The outcome, happens - provided that my hand is held high, that's what's paramount, with all due respect.”
He continued, “That's just the mentality we have to have as boxers. I don't know if other fighters think that way. Perhaps they're a bit more reserved. The way my mind works. When you're in the ring, it's a risky thing. Everything can happen.”

Jake Paul's Incendiary Retort
Paul, a considerable outsider in the fight as a natural cruiserweight, was equally incendiary in his reply.
