Multiple passengers and crew were hurt after a Delta jet from LA to Sydney, Australia was hit by turbulence Friday morning.
The flight, numbered 41 "went through a short bout of rough air" as it made its approach and landed at Sydney Airport, an airline spokesperson stated. A number of the onboard staff were injured.
The New South Wales Ambulance Service stated they treated five patients, and took three to a medical facility with minor injuries that included back pain and migraines. Those affected spanned from their 30s to 70s.
